Some stars are so far away that the light from them, even travelling at 670 million miles per hour, hasn’t yet reached Earth.
There is a star somewhere in the Universe called your Birthday Star: the light we see from it today is light that left the star at the same time you were born.
It won’t work – I’m so sad, the idea is charming.

If there is such thing as a birthday star, then there must also exist a death star.
Sadly, once you are dead, you will not be able to see it.
Of course you can see those of other people who have previously passed away.
To the best of m knowledge, the only person that ever saw his own death star was Darth Vader.
